Otome Visual Novel ‘Charade Maniacs’ Reveals Cooking Team in New Trailer
Idea Factory International has shared a new trailer for their upcoming otome visual novel Charade Maniacs. This time the video focuses on the Cooking Team, which is composed by three good-looking guys just like the Info Team and Cleaning Team.
Charade Maniacs tells the story of a high school sophomore called Hiyori Sena. After being abducted by a mysterious, masked figure, she’s trapped in the mysterious world of Arcadia with nine men. There, they’re forced to act in dramas to have a chance to escape this place. However, one of them may be a traitor, so can she really trust them?
Relevant staff members include scenario writer Uta Amemiya, whose previous works include the short episodes of the PlayStation Vita otome Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, and character designer Teita from the Norn9 series. It was originally released on PlayStation Vita in Japan back in 2018.
As Charade Maniacs includes nine love interests, they’re divided in three teams in the game, each responsible for a specific task related to their survival. While we’ve already covered the ones responsible for info gathering and cleaning, this time we get a closer look at the guys who cook for the group.
Keito Ebana is a skillful cook who’s very realistic and practical. However, despite looking serious, he’s the kind of person who always gets into arguments because he can’t keep his mouth shut when he has complaints. His voice actor is Tomoaki Maeno, whose previous works include Red Riding Hood (Taisho x Alice), Riku Nishijima (Lover Pretend), Lupin (Collar x Malice), Camus (Uta no Prince-sama), Kunitaka Tojo (Winter’s Wish), and many others.
Takumi Haiji is a boy who doesn’t speak often and has a tendency to stare off into space. He loves ice cream and his main trait is being someone hard to read. His voice actor is Nobuhiko Okamoto, whose other notable otome game roles include Peter Flage (Cupid Parasite), Yang (Piofiore: Fated Memories), Radie (Radiant Tale), Hiroya (Period Cube), Taiga Isurugi (Variable Barricade), among many others.
Lastly but not least, Mizuki Iochi is the oldest in the group, acting bold and proving himself the voice of dissent at times. He’s voiced by Megumi Ogata, whose other works include Naegi Makoto and Nagito Komaeda from the Danganronpa series. She also voiced Pochi in World End Club, Oboro Yumeshima in the galge Love, Elections & Chocolate, and Aoi Kagami in Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue.
