UPDATE: Chaos;Head Noah Fan Overhaul Patch Launching This Week; Re-Translation, Restored Censored Content & More

Fan translation group Committee of Zero has announced that their long-awaited overhaul patch for the definitive first entry in the Science Adventure franchise, Chaos;Head Noah, will launch on February 3, 2023.

This patch will include a multitude of improvements over the currently available localized release of the visual novel by Spike Chunsoft. These inclusions are listed below:

  • Fully Retranslated from the ground-up
  • Content censored in re-releases restored
  • Translated songs and videos
  • Over 150 images translated
  • Technical overhaul to fix countless bugs from official versions of the game

Committee of Zero has gone above and beyond for this effort, even spanning far before the localized launch of Chaos;Head Noah. So, even if you’ve already played through this game, I highly encourage replaying it with this incoming patch since it will undoubtedly be an inherently enhanced experience in every respect.

The Chaos;Head Noah overhaul fan patch will be compatible with the Steam and GOG releases and the Nintendo Switch release via custom firmware.

The Committee of Zero also announced that they will host a stream commemorating this patch’s launch and performing a Q&A on February 5, 2023, via their Twitch page.

Chaos:Head Noah can be seen as the director’s cut version of the original Chaos;Head which was a PC-only release in Japan. It expanded upon the story by adding routes for each of the heroines.
