Century: Age of Ashes Launches Gameplay Ahead of Second Closed Beta Beginning This Weekend

Playwing launched new gameplay for their fantasy-dragon adventure Century: Age of Ashes, in developer for PC with a Steam Early Access release date planned for April.

The team is planning another closed beta to last from March 12 through March 21 where players can enjoy some enhancements when compared to the previous Beta.

“After such a positive response from our first closed beta, we wanted to open up Century: Age of Ashes to more dragon-riding fans. For this playtest, we’re inviting every single person who asked to join through the Steam page to this coming week’s closed beta,” said Pascal Barret, Playwing Bordeaux Art Director and Studio Manager. “We’re incredibly excited for the Early Access launch in April, and will be announcing a release date shortly after the closed beta. Watch out for that news and for Playwing team members flying alongside and against you in Century’s skies.”

Century: Age of Ashes is being developed by a 30-person team in France with a planned Early Access launch in February 2021. Gameplay combines dragon flying within a multiplayer arena where players can shoot down others in some high-fantasy clashes. Players can choose their class, become more skilled with dragon flight, and take to the skies.

There are three different classes available, Windguard, for high defense, Marauder, for tracking and speed; and Phantom, for steam and traps. Players can master each class to improve their abilities. Each level gained opens up opportunities to make classes and dragons look unique. Experience can be used to hatch new dragons to ride.
