Celebrate The Holidays With Official Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Christmas Soundtrack Remixes

In Fall 2018, Falcom Sound Team JDK shared 2 Christmas song remixes originating from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. These 2 tracks, “Lacrimosa of Dana,” composed by Yukihiro Jindo, and “Iclucian Dance,” composed by Mitsuo Singa, are amazingly fitting remixes for the holidays that still manage to retain the sense of identity the older tracks contained. While not new, I figure these tracks are worth sharing in time for the holidays.

Both of these tracks are officially available to listen to via Spotify.

In case you missed it, be sure to check out our review of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox’s PlayStation 4 version back when it was initially released in the west.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is set in the city of Balduq, which has been annexed by the Romun Empire. Adol Christin and his companion Dogi have just arrived, but he was detained before even stepping inside, thanks to Adol’s luck. While imprisoned, he meets a woman named Aprilis, who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural gifts and the power to exorcise monsters.

Adol must now ally with other Monstrums to fend off the deadly threats emerging from Grimwald Nox’s dimension. If that wasn’t enough, he must also learn more about this Monstrum curse and unravel the mysteries hidden within Balduq.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is currently available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
