CD Projekt Red is Working With Anonymous Content on a Live-Action Cyberpunk 2077 Project

CD Projekt Red announced they have partnered with Anonymous Content to produce a live-action project set in the world of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.

The IP is no stranger to mixed media after the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners saw some success from fans. Still, this project will take on the live-action scenario as the studio aims to build out this futuristic world.

The new project is at an early development stage and has currently commenced searching for a screenwriter to tell a brand-new story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

Anonymous Content is a globally recognized independent media company renowned for its contributions to award-winning series like True Detective and Mr. Robot, as well as Academy Award-winning films such as The Revenant and Spotlight. In this collaboration, CD Projekt Red is directly engaging with key figures at Anonymous Content Studios, including Garret Kemble, Head of Television; Ryan Schwartz, Director of Development; and David Levine, Chief Creative Officer. David Levine brings substantial industry experience, having previously served as HBO’s EVP and Co-Head of Drama for over a decade, overseeing acclaimed series like True Detective, Westworld, and True Blood, in addition to contributing to the early seasons of Game of Thrones.

Currently, AC Studios boasts a lineup of compelling series, including Saint X directed by Dee Rees, Shantaram featuring Charlie Hunnam, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with Samuel L. Jackson and Dominique Fishback, as well as the upcoming second season of Random Acts of Flyness. On the horizon, viewers can anticipate season four of True Detective featuring Jodie Foster, Taika Waititi’s Time Bandits, Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and Savant, a series starring Jessica Chastain.
