Castlevania Requiem Revealed Bringing Quality Ports of Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood to PS4
In a surprise announcement, Konami revealed Castlevania Requiem, a collection of two titles in the Castlevania series: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its sequel, Castlevania Symphony of the Night. The collection will be available digitally exclusive to the PlayStation 4’s PSN on October 26 for $19.99.
Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood will bring two highly rated titles to a generation of gamers. Konami mentions that they have partnered with SIE Worldwide Studios to create “high-quality” ports of each title to deliver a gameplay experience fans will remember. Additionally, each title will now have added trophy support.
Originally released in 1993, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood stars Richter Belmont, a man on a mission to save a loved one from the grasps of Dracula. Its sequel, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, introduces new character Alucard and expands on Richter’s story a year after the conclusion of Rondo of Blood.
Both titles feature side-scrolling action, where players will make their way through levels fighting hordes of devilish creatures to save the world from Dracula’s reign. Symphony of the Night expands on the series by including RPG elements with added skills and items.
It’s good to mention that the release date is scheduled for the same time as Season 2 of the Netflix original animation Castlevania.

Author’s take: These two titles are probably my favorite in the series and if Super Castlevania was included in this collection I would have had a heart attack. I feel like I’ve played these games so much and discovered everything they offer so I’m interested to see the trophy listing for the titles.
