Netflix’s Castlevania Animated Series Debuts Story Overview Trailer for Season 2

Netflix released the bloody and dismal trailer for season two of their animated series Castlevania, releasing on Octover 26, just in time for Holloween.

The trailer allows fans to catch up with the characters introduced in the first season inlcuding Trevor Belmost and Sypha Belnades. The battle between humanity and Vlad Dracula Tepes doesn’t seem like it’s leaning in the favor of humans due to the amount of death shown in the trailer.

Based off of the Konami developed action game, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Castlevania follows a group of hunters on their quest of fate to face off against a revengful Dracula. The series pulls characters and set pieces from the game, but overalle attempts to fill in some gaps left out of the classic Nintendo title. The series features scenes of blood and gore and reflect hell literally reigning over the Earth as demons pour into the streets and kill everyone in sight.

Early this month, Viz Media announced their partnership with animation studio Frederator Studios to bring the first season to physical media in the future, with the partnership extending into the remaining seasons.

Seaon One of Castlevania is available now on-viaNetflix streaming servise.

Author’s take: All I want to know is how is Konami doing right by Castlevania when they are sitting on so many ips that deserve their respect. Oh well, I’ll take what I can get.
