Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions’ Update Brings New DLC Characters and Story Episode

Bandai Namco has announced that the second set of DLC characters are now available for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, alongside a free content update.

This Character Pass features three characters from the World Youth story arc; Shingo Aoi, one-third of Japan’s Golden Trio; Ryoma Hino, a Japanese-Uruguayan player famed for his devastating Tornado Shot; and Mark Owairanvia, Prince of Saudia Arabia and captain of Saudi Arabia Youth. All 3 of these characters are currently available via purchasing the Character Pass for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

This latest free DLC update also brings a new story chapter to Episode: New Hero, which follows Captain Ishizaki as he leads Nankatsu Middle School to new heights in the New Hero League.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is based on series creator Yoichi Takahashi’s works and follows Tsubasa Ozora as he steps up as the leader of his soccer team and brings them to glory. The game introduces players to soccer with an anime twist as players can execute a variety of powerful offensive and defensive moves during matches against rival teams.
