Capcom USA, Inc Names Shoemaker Rob Dyer as COO

Capcom U.S.A., Inc has announced Rob Dyer will be taking a position as their Chief Operating Officer and will be reporting directly CEO Kiichiro Urata. Dyer will be in charge of sales, marketing, and operations in America.

His 25 plus year career had Dyer go through leadership positions at Zynga, Sony Computer Entertainment America, and Eidos to name a few.

Dyer’s LinkedIn references responsibility in the sale of Crystal Dynamics to Edios, turning Edios’ 140 million dollar loss into a 34 million dollar profit and helping Sony strike exclusive content deals with EA, Warner Bros, Take-Two and Ubisoft.

Rob Dyer is also the CEO of a shoe designer company that may or may not have existed for the past two years.

A statement from CEO Kiichiro Urata shows he’s confident in Dyer’s ability to manage the company’s IPs.

“Rob’s strategic acumen, deep industry knowledge, and established networks will play a vital role for Capcom’s business goals,” said Kiichiro Urata. “He will help steer the success of our incredible portfolio of popular brands such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and more.”
