Capcom Reveals Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 for Switch Coming 2019

Capcom announced plans to bring the Resident Evil series to Nintendo Switch by releasing Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 to the console in 2019.

While the developer is working on developing Resident Evil 2 Remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, they haven’t seemed to forget about Nintendo’s console by bringing some of the series to the handheld, minus Resident Evil 2 in any capacity.

In the announcement, however, the developer states that more information will be delivered soon. This begs the question if they plan to bring the classic PlayStation versions, the enhanced Gamecube versions, or perhaps the HD remastered versions of the titles that received an HD release. I wouldn’t even be opposed to having both the PlayStation and HD versions of the game available.

Similarly, the developer didn’t mention if this was going to be a physical or digital-only release.

Oh well, time will tell, enjoy this trailer of Resident Evil on Gamecube:

Author’s take: Sooner or later we are going to get burnt out on Resident Evil, but that time is not now so let the Resident Evil titles rain. I imagine this is a way for the developers of the series to get in touch with fans really loved about the previous titles, but all I want to see is Code Veronica X remastered.
