Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gets Trailer Showing ‘Blackout Alcatraz’, A Smaller Battle Royale Map
Activision launched a new trailer revealing a brand new Battle Royale level for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, launching for PlayStation 4 players tomorrow.
The new stage, Alcatraz, is designed to be a close-quarters battle royale map where players can enjoy all the offerings of the battle royal mode on a smaller map. It’s easy to see that this is going to be a fairly hectic game map given that there are so many players on the field at one time. Blackout Alcatraz is set in a fog-filled island located San Francisco Bay with a variety of environments that lead up to a big cellhouse on top of a hill. The map aims to test battle royale players to make them utilize new survival tactics.
The publisher launched a new trailer showing off the level and some of the chocking points that the map will provide. Similar to other Call of Duty maps, Alcatraz seems to have a lot of moving parts for players to find their way around and get the drop on enemy players.
The Alcatraz map will launch on PlayStation 4, with other platforms to follow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
