Otome ‘Bustafellows’ Reveals Physical Release on Switch and Summer 2021 Release Window
PQube announced that the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Extend-developed otome visual novel, Bustafellows, will receive a physical release on Nintendo Switch when it releases in the west summer 2021.
The publisher also revealed that games retailer Funstock will have an exclusive collector’s edition available, which includes:
- Physical Switch game
- Exclusive New Sieg People Magazine
- Soundtrack
- 6 art cards
Bustafellows launched in Japan in 2019 on Switch and iOS and Android devices. The game is set in the Ameican town of New Seeg, where the crooked lawyer Limbo Fitzgerald has received a defense request and makes his way to the police station. The story and relationships evolve from that point, but it features high-stakes mysteries and life-threatening situations. What better themes than to be rushed around by some hunky dude. There are also some supernature elements to the game, but I feel like the player best experiences it.
The game features 5 romance options, Limbo, Shu, Helvetica, Mozu, and Scarecrow, across multiple endings decided by player choices. These choices can also unlock additional scenes with the characters to reveal their true feelings.
Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer that shows each of the characters and introduces some of the gameplay.
In Japan, the developer announced that Season 2 is in the works, so it’s possible that if this does well, the sequel may come west too.
We’ll keep you updated with the release of Bustafellows in the west.
Bustafellows is coming to Switch and PC-via Steam in the west in summer 2021.
