One Button Bullet Hell ‘Good Knight’ Launches on Steam
Doublethink Games has launched their one-button Bullet-hell adventure, Good Knight, on PC-via Steam today, after a short 2-week delay.
Good Knight wears its arcade and metal influences on its sleeve as it sends players in a bullet-hell death trap with themes similar Super-Hexagon, Castlevania, and Touhou. Players will need to use agility and speed to dodge bullets and fight against giant bosses.
There’s only one button used in the game because you’re simply tasked with surviving the stream of bullets. Using this button, you can turn around, attack, speed down, and sustained attacks. The game features multiple stages, different camera angles, and an original soundtrack full of metal riffs.
Good Knight features a minimalist design where players will die from one hit, but they also have unlimited continues, and there isn’t a game over screen. The game is inspired by Philippine horror, history, and literature fused with Greek stories.
Players can also construct their own levels and design stages as they join up with up to four other players and try to survive together. There are online and offline modes available for those who wish to make this hellish game a party.
