During The Game Awards 2023, 505 Games revealed that Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake was announced, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on February 28, 2023.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake will feature rebuilt characters and landscapes based on the original release. The game also has been rerecorded soundtrack with a live orchestra.

“It is a privilege to see new life coming into Brothers” said Josef Fares, creator of the original game, “Avantgarden have done a great job to bring this story back for a new generation to experience.”

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has players embark on an extraordinary journey in a fairy tale world created by the acclaimed Swedish film director Josef Fares and developed by Starbreeze Studios. The game features an innovative single-player co-op mode, where players simultaneously control two brothers, each with a thumbstick, to solve puzzles, explore diverse locations, and engage in boss battles. The narrative centers around two sons on a critical mission to save their gravely ill father by seeking the mystical “Water of Life”. Throughout their quest, they learn to depend on each other’s strengths and overcome their individual weaknesses, embodying the essence of brotherhood.
