Happinet announced they will publish the Matrix Software-developed tactical RPG Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia on Nintendo Switch on June 25.
Additionally, the publisher revealed they will be teaming up with Limited Run Games to release a physical version on Switch. More details about the physical release will come son.
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is a tactical RPG and the first entry of the Brigandine in the past 20 years. The game has brought together a group of talented developers to work on the project, including Kenji Terada (Batman: Dark Tomorrow, Final Fantasy I – III), art director and character designer, Raita Kazama (Puzzle & Dragons, Xenoblade Chronicles), and composer Tenpei Sato (Brigandine: Grand Edition, Disgaea 1 -5).
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia will continue the series and allow players to discover the six countries in the Continent of Runersia who have begun to wage a war to conque in hopes to unify the land as one. Players must choose how they wish the story to unfold by selecting a country and creating their army. There are over 40 base locations and over 100 knights to grow your army large enough to face off against many enemies and nearly 50 types of monsters.
Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is set in a world where five Mana Stones were brought to the world. Over time humans would begin to embed them into special Brigandine equipment to create Rune Knights who can then harness its power. Each of the six regions has conflicting ideas of beliefs, histories, and faiths. The goal of the game is to spread the influence that you believe in and take over all of the regions.
