Playism has announced that new limited-time Steam demos are now available for the MercuryStudio-developed Break Arts III and the Grayfax Software-developed Nitro Express.
Both games are planned to be released on Steam in Spring 2025 and will participate in Steam Next Fest between February 24 and March 3, 2025. The demos will cease being available on the latter date.
Demo Details
The newest Break Arts III demo includes a single-player mode where you can try out race, battle, and battle racing competitions, a wide range of customization options for your machine, and Diorama Mode, where you can set up a background, place props, and freely pose your machine.
In the Nitro Express demo, you can play the tutorial and the first scenario of the game’s story. This demo will also let you try out every gun and gadget in the title. However, demo save data cannot be carried over to the full game.
About Break Arts III
Break Arts III is a mech racing game emphasizing customization and competition. Players can fully customize their mechs, with each modification affecting the base stats and performance during races.
Players can also unlock new blueprints and mech modules to enhance their machines by competing in events and earning prize money.
A battle mode is also included, allowing players to engage in free-movement combat against rivals. During matches, you must avoid getting knocked out of the defined area to maintain your score while strategically outmaneuvering opponents.
There is a racing mode, too, where competitors navigate increasingly complex courses with varying terrain and gravity, requiring them to choose an ideal mech configuration for each challenge.
Break Arts III will support English, Japanese, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese text options at launch.
About Nitro Express
Nitro Express is a fast-paced shoot ’em up where players join the Atypical Vehicle Disposal Squad (AVDS) to take out rogue autonomous drones known as Atypical Vehicles in Nitro City. The title features various weapons and tactical gadgets, allowing you to bring grenades, flamethrowers, EMPs, and radio-controlled drones into battle.
A key feature of this 2D outing is the weapon accuracy system, where stable shooting positions improve damage and precision. This mechanic is especially crucial when facing heavily armored enemies such as tanks and helicopters.
Ultimately, the combat encourages players to strategize and use different tools to overcome increasingly difficult encounters. Players must carefully manage their movement, positioning, and weapon selection to restore safety to Nitro City.
Nitro Express’s narrative is delivered through optional police radio communications, allowing players to either engage with the story or focus entirely on the action.
