Bravely Default II Revealed for Switch in Debut Trailer

During the Game Awards 2019, Nintendo and Clay Tech works unveiled the newest entry to the BBravely Default series, Bravely Default II.

In the video, a reel of info detailing the teams that will take on the project took to the spotlight, including Clay Tech Works that worked on Bravely Default. Team Asano will return as well to produce the title, which also worked on Octopath Traveller. Finally, Revo taking on the music who has also taken on the series before.

Bravely Default launched exclusively to Nintendo 3DS in 2014. The game follows a group of protagonists on their quest to restore balance to their world. However, much of the adventure is spent destroying crystals, which seem to have a negative affect on the world and its inhabitants. A follow-up title, Bravely Second: End Layer was released as a 3DS exclusive in 2016, which caught up with the cast on a brand new adventure. However, both titles included the game’s unique battle system where players can attack or default to store their power and execute a series of skills.

Currently, the game is a Switch exclusive, but that could change…maybe.
