Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights Revealed for Mobile Devices With Gameplay Trailer

Square Enix revealed that Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights is currently in development for iOS and Android and doesn’t currently have a release date.

The game will be a free-to-play RPG based in the universe of the series. Players will find that new and returning characters will join the party throughout the mobile series. Further, the battle system continues the Brave and Default functions where players can hold off from attacking to unleash a series of powerful attacks. The system has been optimized for mobile devices.

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights will feature an original story from Keiichi Ajiro, scenario writer of the previous entries in the series. This will include overseeing the world and the cross-over events that occur.

A trailer was released that shows the gameplay. It very much resembles the console release and features characters designs that appear to be of console-quality. The in-app purchases have not been revealed at this time, but we imagine that it’s either characters or weapons. The trailer also highlights a few moments of battles, which are rather impressive.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development of Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights. Unfortunately, a western release has not been revealed at this time.
