Further, the battle system continues the Brave and Default functions where players can hold off from attacking to unleash a series of powerful attacks. The gameplay design has been optimized for mobile devices.

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights will feature an original story from Keiichi Ajiro, scenario writer of the previous entries in the series. This will include overseeing the world and the cross-over events that occur.
