Koei Tecmo announced that the Gust-developed adventure RPG Blue Reflection: Second Light has launched a free demo on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America.
During the demo, players are able to explore the prologue of the game, which sets up the characters and their current situation. Ao’s journey is just getting started, but building a strong connection with the people around her and understanding what they need to do to survive is at the top of her list.
As a bonus, players who complete the Prologue will obtain “Bunny – Head Accessory” and the Fragment “Preparing for the Unknown” as exclusive bonuses when updating to the latest full version of the game.
In addition, Gust Studios announced a costume collaboration between BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light and the upcoming Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. For those who own both the “Summer Bikini” early purchase bonus for BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light and the limited time bonus “Comfy and Casual” from Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, the costumes will be unlocked to wear across each respective game.
Blue Reflection: Second Light follows three students, Ao Hoshizaki, Kokoro Utsubo, and Yuki Kinjou, who have just been transported to a floating academy with no way home and only their names as memories. Outside the academy, a new area appears called “Heartscape” since it surrounds the world they inhabit.
Here in Heartscape, the characters can find resources for survival, crafting, and battle. Further, they come across memory shards; pieces of their memory come back to them when touched.
However, this place becomes more dangerous as monsters appear. This leads the girls to transform, which resembles a magical girl animation, and they take part in real-time battles.
