Blue Protocol Reaches 600,000 Total Players in Japan
Bandai Namco has announced that the Japanese version of their MMORPG Blue Protocol has hit some outstanding milestones a little over a week after its June 14th release. The game has now hit over 600,000 players in Japan alone, with over 200,000 concurrent people playing it. These milestones were reached at a pace faster than any other game in Bandai Namco Online’s history in the PC online service market for Japan.
To celebrate this, the Japanese version will also be giving a special gift of colored dye and reward tickets to all players who login until June 28th.
In Blue Protocol, players embark on a quest to uncover the truth about their character’s origins, meet people from many worlds and make new friends with whom they share your adventures. Eventually, you find yourself facing an inescapable destiny that will determine the fate of planet Regnas in an immersive multiplayer experience with deep character customization and action-packed combat.
Furthermore, Blue Protocol also features an action-based combat system that features customizable controls for beginners and veterans alike. Your class depends on your chosen weapons, allowing you to adapt to challenges without changing your character.
Players can switch between five different classes, each with unique skills that add damage multipliers, healing, and elemental effects that can be modified and leveled up. Assign combinations of skills, modifiers, and summon Echoes, mystical creatures derived from the planet’s power that bolster your abilities or aid you in battle, and create a custom hero fit for your play style.
Blue Protocol is currently available in Japan. A western release is currently in the works for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2024, by Amazon Games.
