Blue Protocol Releasing in Japan Early Spring 2023; Closed Network Beta Test January 2023
During the Blue Protocol Live Broadcast #5, Bandai Namco finally announced more updates regarding their upcoming MMO, including a new release date window, as well as a final closed network beta test to be held in January. Japanese outlet Famitsu compiled all of the information that was shown on the livestream, which I’ve translated below:
The livestream announced that Blue Protocol will officially begin its live service in Early Spring 2023, with the beta test being held from January 14 to January 16, 2022. For the time being, the game was stated as Japan-only. Furthermore, the sixth broadcast with more information about the title will be shown at the Game Awards 2022 broadcast, which will be held on December 8.
Fans interested in signing up for the closed network beta can do so through the game’s official website. It should be noted, however, that in order to apply, a valid Japanese Bandai Namco ID is required. If you’re unsure how to make one, you can follow the handy guide from Blue Protocol DB and sign up for it. Applications will be accepted until December 13th, 2022.
Lastly, regarding the game’s voices, the following Japanese voice actors were revealed to have roles in Blue Protocol:
- Rina Hidaka
- Kazuyuki Okitsu
- Ai Kayano
- Megumi Yamaguchi
- Ayumu Murase
- Sayaka Senbongi
- Kaito Ishikawa
- Asami Seto
- Shunsuke Takeuchi
- Masaaki Mizunaka
- Azusa Tadokoro
- Rikiya Koyama
Furthermore, Hiroyuki Sawano will be composing the game’s main theme.
Blue Protocol is an upcoming MMORPG developed and published by Bandai Namco, which was announced back in June 2019.
Set on the planet of Regnus, the world of Blue Protocol is filled with a mysterious light called Engram. An ancient civilization, known as the Bafarians, has been relegated to nothing more than myths and stories, and their once-proud cities are now reduced to ancient dilapidated ruins. Blue Protocol will be coming to Japan-only on Early Spring 2023.
