Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Receiving PvP, Online Co-Op, New Crossover Area & More
The development team for the beloved Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has shared an update post discussing the current state of upcoming content. The development roadmap for 2022 was shared since completion has gotten close.
Fans can look forward to the next update having a “new crossover area based on a non-bloodstained franchise,” with players having to find it as it won’t appear on the map or affect one’s completion rate. Afterward, the Chaos and Vs Modes will be added, comprising online co-op and PvP action.
Further, the protagonist, Miriam, will be receiving free and premium outfit options, and Classic Mode 2, a new premium mode, will also eventually arrive.
The release times for all of the aforementioned content will be shared at their respective later dates.
The following graphic provides as much transparency as currently possible regarding the upcoming content:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set in 18th century England where a dark force has caused a castle to appear, bringing with it powerful crystal shards. Players will assume the role of Miriam, an orphan who has been cursed by an alchemist, which slowly crystallizes her body. Miriam fights through the castle to defeat the summoner Gebel and his minions to save herself and the world. Along the way, she will be able to collect, craft, and unlock various weapons and equipment to help her on her quest.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Google Stadia, and Mobile.
