Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Continues Free Updates by Adding Classic Mode in January

505 Games announced that the Artplay developed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night from Koji Igarashi will receive a free update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in January.

The update was announced earlier this year based on a roadmap from the developer, which included crossover events and new characters. This time, players can play through the game using the Classic Mode option. Here, players will find a challenge as they must get through the castle once again with limited mobility, something classic fans know much about.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any additional content added to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set in 18th century England where a dark force has caused a castle to appear, bringing with it powerful crystal shards. Players will assume the role of Miriam, an orphan who has been cursed by an alchemist, which slowly crystallizes her body.

Miriam fights through the castle to defeat the summoner Gebel and his minions to save herself and the world. Along the way, she will be able to collect, craft, and unlock various weapons and equipment to help her on her quest.
