Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gets Free Update Adding New Playable Character and Mode

505 Games announced that the Artplay developed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night from Koji Igarashi has just received a new free update adding Zangetsu as a playable campaign character as well as a new mode, Randomizer Mode. The update is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC now.

As Zangetsu, players will be able to take vengeance against the demons and utilize his demon hunter samurai skills throughout the game. Zangetsu is voiced by David Hayter and features some additional lines from the star. During gameplay, Zangetsu can equip his Zangetsuto katana and utilize talisman magic while traversing the environments with his chain hook.

Randomizer Mode allows players to adjust warp rooms, save points, and more in the game.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set in 18th century England where a dark force has caused a castle to appear bringing with it powerful crystal shards. Players will assume the role of Miriam, an orphan who has been cursed by an alchemist which slowly crystallizes her body. In order to save herself and the world, Miriam fights through the castle to defeat the summoner Gebel and his minions. Along the way, she will be able to collect, craft, and unlock various weapons and equipment to help her on her quest.
