Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves have announced that The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on GOG at launch, coinciding with other platforms. GOG offers DRM-free titles, letting players access the game without an internet connection.

The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in 14th-century Europe, during the Black Death. Vampires and other creatures of the night exploit this societal weakness, seeking to claim freedom, causing history to be forever altered.

The protagonist, Coen, is a young man who has become a Dawnwalker, navigating life between the fine lines of day and night, with player choice enabling him to either embrace his humanity or harness his cursed powers to save his family. The developer has emphasized that every action, and even inaction, matters, making every manner of choice crucial to the overall experience.

The combat features various assets at your disposal, including swords and magic. Additionally, Coen’s form changes throughout the day and night, each offering distinct weaknesses and strengths. The open world is handcrafted with various biomes, all built in Unreal Engine 5.

The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store on September 3, 2026.
