Bleach: Brave Souls Flash-Steps Onto PS4 Overnight
Seemingly out of nowhere, the free-to-play gacha action game, Bleach: Brave Souls, has released for the PS4 through the PlayStation Store. This comes right after the trophies for the game, which was announced for the PS4 last April, surfaced online.
Worth noting for trophy hunters is that the game doesn’t seem to have a Platinum trophy. Also, given the nature of this game, online play is required, so you’ll need a PS+ subscription.
As with the mobile version of Brave Souls, the game is free to download and play but contains microtransactions. Bleach: Brave Souls follows the story of the Bleach manga and its spin-off, Can’t Fear Your Own World. Brave Souls even adapts the final arc of the manga, The Thousand-Year Blood War, which won’t be adapted into anime form until later this year.
It’s a beat-em-up with RPG elements, and it features several original character designs by Bleach creator Tite Kubo. Hundreds of characters from throughout the iconic series are collectable as units, each with their own skills and special attacks.
You can check out the opening movie below, which features music from the J-Pop band Hello Sleepwalkers. Bleach: Brave Souls is also available on PC, iOS, and Android.
