BlazBlue Entropy Effect Shows Gameplay of the Only Character That Matters: Mai Natsume
91Act released a new character trailer ahead of the launch of BlazBlue Entropy Effect, a roguelike action game coming to PC via Steam on August 16, 2023. The release will be considered Early Access, even though the Steam page doesn’t say that.
The new trailer highlights Mai Natsume’s gameplay. Mai is one of the more popular characters in the BlazBlue series. She executes swift attacks with a spear that is capable of a wide range of abilities.
Not much about BlazBlue Entropy Effect has been revealed at this time in terms of the plot. However, we do know that it is a roguelite action where the Blazblue narrative can get even more confusing than it already is. Players can inherit Legacy Skills from two other characters and acquire specialized Potential Skills through combat.
This is likely the roguelite gameplay elements, as the developers expect players to die during runs. Monetization and other gacha elements have not been confirmed. There are seven elements to gain powers from, Fire, Toxin, Light, Blade, Ice, and Umbra. This allows for further character customization.
We’ll continue to follow the release of BlazBlue Entropy Effect in the West. Arc System Works license the game; however, 91Act is developing and publishing it globally, so we are unsure who is handling the localization or if the mobile versions will come West.
