Blaster Master Zero 3 Might Be the Must-Play 2D Action Platformer This Summer
Inti Creates has shared new details about Blaster Master Zero 3 that has me rather excited about the direction of this new 2D action platformer.
Being a direct sequel to Blaster Master Zero 2, Blaster Master Zero 3 continues that story of Jason, who has just returned to planet Sophia in hopes of saving Eve. This entry of the series is said to be the final installment as Jason’s unexpected adventure through space is close to coming to an end.
Details revealed today are more about the game’s story and characters. Jason and Eve arrive at planet Sophia where they are taken captive. Unsure of why this is all happening, a war breaks out, and they escape to reclaim their All-Terrain Battle Tank, G-SOPHIA SV.
This entry will feature Jason, Eve, and Fred the frog on a unique last fight towards peace and saving Eve, the support droid for SOPHIA III, who has been corrupted with mutant cells during their battles. I also hope to see some returning characters from the previous games, but I don’t mind keeping the cast small as we round out this adventure.
The Blaster Master Zero series from Inti Creates offers a charming narrative pieced together by 2D action platforming. The developer doesn’t need to include as great a story as they did with this trilogy, but it keeps players invested.
If you’re looking for some action this summer, Blaster Master Zero 3 is a game you should have on your radar. You won’t have to wait long as it’s coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 29, 2021.
