Blaster Master Zero 2 Gets Empress DLC Release Date in New Gameplay Trailer

Inti Creates released a new DLC character trailer for their 2D action game Blaster Master Zero 2.

The DLC adds the Empress from Dragon Marked for Death as a playable character. The Empress will be available on both the Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on April 21 for $1.99. She allows players to take on the game’s campaign in a new way by utilizing her Dragon Skills abroad a Dragonblood Tank, the D-ATTACKER.

The developer also released a new trailer showing the character’s move set and abilities. This also gives players the chance to see the Empress in an 8-bit design.

Blaster Master Zero 2 is set in space and introduces new characters who Jason and Eve will encounter throughout the adventure. During the game, players play as Jason who traverses the universe in the trusty G-Sophia. However, he will need to leave Sophia in order to enter dungeons and take out enemies and the arguably weaker human character. Jason can now counter enemy attacks with the Blast Counter and chain these together to take out multiple enemies.

Blaster Master Zero 2 is a sequel to 2017’s Blast Master Zero released on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, which serves as a reboot of the retro Sunsoft developed series.
