Blasphemous 2 to Launch Early Next Month on PS4 and Xbox One; New Trailer Highlights Accolades
Team17 announced that The Game Kitchen-developed 2D action game Blasphemous 2 will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 2, 2023. Currently, the game is available on all platforms, but this last-gen release will likely reach more players.
There were no differences listed for this console release, which is great because the accolades speak for themselves; this game is amazing.
The second installment in the Blasphemous series hints at the reappearance of The Penitent One. This narrative extension follows the events of the free Wounds of Eventide DLC from the original game, in which The Heart in the Sky indicated the return of The Miracle and the arrival of a new miraculous child.
Found in an unfamiliar land and uprooted from his final resting place, The Penitent One is compelled to re-enter the unending cycle of life, death, and resurrection. His only recourse is to explore this perilous new world and uncover its long-forgotten secrets.
Various grotesque adversaries block his path, awaiting judgment from The Penitent One’s ruthless hand. Additionally, colossal, twisted bosses hide in the shadows, eager to return him to his eternal rest.
Overcoming these challenges won’t be straightforward. However, Blasphemous 2 offers increased opportunities to tailor and enhance your skill set, as well as access to an array of new, distinctive weapons, providing a potential path to victory.
