Blade & Soul NEO Gets February Release Date on PC in New Trailer; If You Didn’t Guess Already, It’s Free-to-Play

NC America has officially announced Blade & Soul NEO, a modern remaster of the long-running fantasy MMORPG, set to launch for free on PC in North America and Europe on February 25, 2025. This latest iteration brings graphical enhancements, gameplay refinements, and new features while retaining the martial arts-inspired combat that has defined the series. Players can get a head start with early downloads and character creation access ahead of release.

Early Access Details: Pre-Download and Character Customization

Starting February 11, players can pre-download Blade & Soul NEO via NCSOFT’s PURPLE platform, ensuring a smooth launch experience. On February 18, character creation will open, allowing players to reserve their names and fine-tune their character designs before jumping into the game.

Community Contests Offer a Creative Touch

To engage the community, NC America is hosting two player-driven contests. The Loading Screen Contest will feature five winning artists, whose artwork will be showcased in-game. Meanwhile, the Costume Design Contest offers one winner the chance to have their custom outfit added to Blade & Soul NEO. Both contests will run for 30 days on the official Blade & Soul Discord.

What’s New in Blade & Soul NEO?

As a remaster of the original, Blade & Soul NEO updates the game with improved visuals, a refined storyline, and new gameplay mechanics. The Infinite Windwalk system expands exploration and movement, while combat tweaks aim to create a more fluid and responsive experience.

Players can also pre-register now to claim a bonus cosmetic package or purchase an exclusive pre-order bundle, which includes an in-game outfit and currency.
