2D Action Shooter ‘Black Future ’88’ Gets Switch and PC Release Date
Good Shepard Entertainment announced that the SuperScarySnakes developed roguelike action shooter, Black Future ’88, will launch on Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on November 21.
Black Future ’88 is set in an alternate history where it’s always 1988. Players will make their way through dungeons as they fight against homicidal robots and large scale boss battles as they seek revenge against the man who destroyed the world.
Gameplay in Black Future ’88 is always evolving; players will make their way up a procedurally generated tower as they fight their way through enemies. Players can choose from an arsenal of weapons to take down their targets, but they must do so quickly because their hearts will explode if they don’t reach their destination fast enough.
Black Future ’88 is a challenging game that requires skill and planning. The game also features local co-op and an online leaderboard. In order to kill their mark, players will need to strategically combine dozens of unique guns, buffs, and curses. There are also several characters that players will be able to choose from, each with aditionally weapons and powers that will fit the player’s playstyle.
Tha premise sounds a lot like Gantz.
The publisher also released a new trailer showing an animated cutscene and plenty of gameplay to hype up the game before release. Additionally, the trailer gives a good overview of the gameplay systems and features.
