Black Cat Train Heartnet Nendoroid Announced

GoodSmile has announced that a Nendoroid of Train Heartnet from the anime series Black Cat is in development. No release date or price was announced, but an illustration teasing the product’s final design was revealed.

This series followed the protagonist, Train Heartnet, an assassin with the titular moniker who worked for an organization known as Chronos. However, he eventually meets Saya Minatsuki, a kind-hearted and cheerful bounty hunter who drastically alters his perspective on life, causing Train to change professions. Such decisions don’t come with consequences, though, as Train finds himself confronting demons of his past life, threatening to cut his new life short irrevocably.

Gonzo produced this anime adaptation of the manga series, which premiered in 2005, releasing 23 episodes. In my younger years, Black Cat was one of my favorite anime, so the development of a sudden official Twitter account almost two decades later has me thrilled beyond belief. However, it has left me wondering what plans are in store. Perhaps a sequel of some sort is arriving in the near future?
