Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei Shares New Screenshots & Website Gallery Update
Publisher Idea Factory International has shared new screenshots for the upcoming otome title Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei depicting Tomomori Taira and Yoritomo Minamoto.

Additionally, the game’s official website houses new translated interactions with Shugen and Noritsune Taira.
This title takes place 15 years following the conclusion of the Heiji Rebellion, where the Heike clan has prevailed, and the Genji clan suffers from defeat. However, the heir to the Genji name, Shanao, is hiding within the mountains of Kurama, and she is disguising her gender to avoid inevitable conflict. Eventually, she decides to take down the Heike stronghold to bring peace to the country. Along the way, she makes new allies and discovers a secret between the two clans.
Players can look forward to 5 routes, all revealing new story elements and focusing on different love interests. Additionally, Shanao possesses Strength, Knowledge, and Kindness, which determine specific outcomes. Making critical decisions throughout the game will alter these stats, and the general goal is to balance all 3 of them. Overly leaning or lacking a particular stat can lead to bad endings.
Moreover, a mechanic called Love Catch lets players view their choices’ impact on characters’ affection levels and Shanao’s stats. Chapters can also be replayed following their respective completions, where affection levels and abilities can be altered to change course.
Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei is releasing for Nintendo Switch on June 28, 2022, in North America and July 1, 2022, in Europe.
