Otome Visual Novel ‘Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei’ Coming West to Switch in Summer of 2022

Idea Factory International announced that they will publish Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei on Nintendo Switch in the west for a Summer 2022 release.

The publisher has confirmed the game will receive a digital and physical release alongside a limited edition. The content of the LE will be revealed at a later date.

Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei takes place fifteen years after the Heiji Rebellion, the Heike clan has reached the height of its power, while the Genji clan remains devastated by defeat. Hidden deep within the mountains of Kurama lives Shanao, the youngest surviving male heir to the Genji name. However, Shanao harbors a deep secret known by very few.

The youngest, Genji, is not a man. She is then torn between her duty to Genji family name and her desire for a peaceful life. Her adventure leads her to find new cherished relationships, as well as something deeper than the feud between the rivaling clans.

During gameplay, players will encounter five male romance options, Yoritomo, Benkei, Shungen, Tomomori, and Noritsune.
