BioWare, Blizzard & Riot Games Veterans Announce Free-to-Play Co-op Action RPG Codenamed “Project Skies”

Elodie Games, a newly formed studio comprising industry veterans from BioWare, Blizzard, and Riot Games, has announced a free-to-play co-op action RPG with the codename Project Skies. This ambitious crossplay-centered experience is inspired by RPG, MMO, and MOBA the staff has worked on, including World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, the Mass Effect series, and Dragon Age.

Throughout the game, which is emphasized to house “deep progression and replayability,” players explore its fantasy world as champions. Specifics regarding the narrative and gameplay were not shared. However, the title is catered to both competitive and casual crowds, and the crossplay implementation aids in creating a game that “feels fully featured and native on every platform [they] support.”

Further, alongside players able to choose whichever platform they prefer, switching to another lets them retain their progress and pick up from where they left off. Unfortunately, the game’s platforms have not been revealed, nor has a planned full release window.

Those interested in giving this title a shot can sign up for a chance to enter pre-alpha tests. Selected individuals will receive an email confirming their acceptance.

We’ll be sure to keep you all updated on the heavily veiled Project Skies. But, for now, you can view a plethora of artwork it has received via our galleries below:
