During IGN’s Summer of Gaming livestream, E-Line Media debuted a new gameplay trailer for their underwater exploration game, Beyond Blue, set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC-via Steam on June 11.
The trailer briefly gives players a look at some of the environments that they’ll be able to explore during the game’s narrative. Additionally, players get a look as some of the underwater creatures that they’ll be able to interact with throughout the adventure.
Beyond Blue is a single-player narrative adventure game set in the near future. The game has players assume the role of Mirai, a deep-sea explorer, and scientist. During gameplay, players will become a part of the newly-formed research team with the technology to see, hear, and interact with the ocean in new ways.
The game features eight different dives that follow Mirai as she tracks sea creatures and unravels the mysteries of the game’s narrative. The game also features a soundtrack with songs from Miles Davis, The Flaming Lips, and The Edisons. Lastly, there are sixteen mini-documentaries called Ocean Insights that players will be able to discover that feature interviews with science’s leading ocean experts.
