Recently, Sega announced that they’d be releasing Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle, a combo pack of two of the most high-action titles released in the past ten years, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 18, 2020.
For the release, the publisher hired artist Dan Dussault to work on key art for the cover. The team has now released a video showing this process and how Dan approached the project. The team and Weapons Vans approached the project, knowing that they wanted the two characters to look like they belonged together.
During creation, Platinum Games assisted the team with knowledge about the two characters when it came to essential areas of design. For example, the charms or Bayonetta’s guns needed to be in the right place, or else fans will notice the inconsistencies. The design of both characters has specific details that the artists wanted to get 100% correct for the release of this key art.
Bayonetta is an action-adventure title featuring everyone’s favorite heroine Bayonetta. In an attempt to remember her past, the Umbra Witch jumps straight into battle to take out her enemies and piece together the truth. Her abilities, including long combos and shapeshifting into various animal forms. She can also summon demons with her hair, which is always a sight to be seen.
Vanquish is a sci-fi shooter where Earth has been suffering from limited resources, and there their last hope has been overrun by an enemy threat. This game is pure action as players use what is called a BLADE to take down anything in their path.
