One more episode in this series will be released next week.
In Bayonetta 3, Bayonetta can wield her iconic Witch Time ability, making the surrounding vicinity slow down when performing skillful dodges. She can also summon Infernal Demons in the midst of combat to battle particularly mighty and giant foes. However, she is exposed to attacks while summoning, making adequate timing crucial.
And as if those facets weren’t enough, Bayonetta can transform her appearance into a Demon Masquerade by channeling the power of the demons instilled within her weapons. The abilities gained while in these transformed states can also be used for exploration.
The other playable character is Viola. This witch-in-training activates Witch Time by blocking attacks at the right time instead of dodging them. Further, the Infernal Demon bound to her sword, Chesire, can be summoned during combat to attack enemies separately.
Lastly, the difficulty can be changed at any time, and a special accessory, Immortal Marionette, will let players enact combos and defensive maneuvers with one button.
