The team is preparing their upcoming content included in Battlefield V Chapter 4: Defying the Odds. A video was shown during the event that shows what players can expect from the environment, including vertical gameplay opportunities and flank routes. The map named Marita is scheduled to release in July, which brings the second of two Greece maps, following the release of Mercury from Chapter 3: Trial by Fire. Martia will find players bring the fight to the mountainside with cobblestone roads overlooking a river, and features infantry-focused combat where Allied forces are making their last stand to halt the Axis army.
A new map revealed Al Sundan, set in the South African desert. The map which was built as a classic multiplayer action focused map. Players will find that the map features large distances, which will require the players to utilize vehicle-based teamplay as they push towards the opposing team. This map is based on the single player war story in the game, Under No Flag. The team wanted to give this map a classic Battlefield experience. Al Sundan will launch on June 27 available for all players.
Other new maps that are in development are a little more intimate and condensed to create moments of team-based combat. There is also a max rank update coming where the rank has been increased from 50 to 500 in August. Every 50th rank, icons will be given, to show off skills as well as other items. Another update will allow players to create their own servers for private gameplay.
Lastly, the team showed off Operation Underground, which features close quarters combat and action focused gameplay set in the Metro as well as the streets. This map will release in October.
