I Can’t Wait To Battle Yozora With Nintendo Switch Cloud Lag In Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece
The Kingdom Hearts games making their way to Nintendo Switch is a rather humorous yet distressing Catch 22. While requests for these titles to make their way to the platform have been numerous since the console’s release, I don’t think anyone ever expected the games to arrive via Cloud. I believe it’s safe to assume that every game pre-Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage could run perfectly fine on Nintendo Switch without any need for Cloud implementation. Still, this is the reality of the current situation, and it will likely make the Switch the worst platform to experience these titles.
Ever since the announcement of Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud, I’ve been wondering how the hell the brutal post-game battles will be like, especially in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind. A recent meme video by prominent Kingdom Hearts community member Trueblade Seeker perfectly captured my thoughts regarding how utterly awful the sheer act of attempting these fights will be. So in a sense, I suppose battling these super bosses via Cloud will genuinely be the most challenging feats of the series, and I wonder who will be crazy enough to step up to the plate and do it.
Regardless, I’m mostly making assumptions about the quality of these ports since I haven’t yet experienced them myself. But, I have a feeling that once I do so later today, my mind won’t be changed.
Developer Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud will be releasing for Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022. This collection is a massive compilation, including Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. Unfortunately, all of these titles are only playable via Cloud.
