Battle Princess Madelyn Delayed One Week on PS4 and Switch to Address Player Feedback

Casual Bit Games announced that their upcoming action-adventure Battle Princess Madelyn will be delayed on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch until December 13, but the date is still left to be confirmed. The Xbox One and PC version of the game is set to release on the planned release date of December 6.

The reasons for the delay will be addressed in an upcoming FAQ from the developers, but they state that this is to “aid and assist” gamers from feedback they received, along with the implementation of a patch that makes the game run better.

Battle Princess Madelyn tells the story of a knight in training, Madelyn, as she fights through hordes of enemies with her pet dog, Fritzy. The game aims to recreate the Ghouls ‘n Goblins style of gameplay and features 10 levels with 5 stages each.

Currently, the PS4 version in the EU’s release date has been unannounced.

Author’s take: This is a strange delay, but I’m sure it might be worth it if it makes the game better. However, they’ve even moved the embargo for reviews for the game, so it must have been something that really needed to be addressed. I’m excited to play!
