Batsugan Saturn Tribute Boosted Revealed in Gameplay Trailer; May Release Date
City Connection announced they will publish BATSUGUN Saturn Tribute Boosted on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on May 25, 2023. The game will receive a physical release in Japan.
BATSUGUN Saturn Tribute Boosted was initially released in 1993 by developer Toaplan. The game is a vertical shmup and is said to be the father of the bullet-hell genre. This updated Version of the game will bring the arcade classic to consoles with additional features and better sound quality.
Gameplay allows players to choose three ships that offer carried playstyles. Players also have the option to change between Player 1 and Player 2; chosen characters will speak to each other during dialogue.
Playable modes are the Original Version, which offers the arcade version of the game, five stages, and one end. The Special Version Mode includes a revised experience with better balance and features. The game repeats itself from stage 1 through stage 5, totaling 14 stages. Further, the Boosted title is a port of the previous Saturn Tribute using the Zebra engine. Additionally, players will find a new user interface that displays needed information about the game.
