Bandai Namco Reveals Gameplay From Akira Toriyama’s Sand Land; Looks Awesome

During Summer Game Fest 2023, Bandai Namco revealed gameplay from their upcoming action-adventure game, Sand Land, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.

The publisher has shared that during gameplay, players will “play as the Fiend Prince, Beelzebub,  Sheriff Rao, and demon Thief as they set off on an adventure using their wits, brawn, and vehicles to save Sand Land.” They’re also seeking the Legendary Spring in the desert.

The cast is described as the following:

“Beelzebub has a pure heart like a little boy but has superhuman strength and telepathic abilities. Rao, a small-town sheriff, seeks the aid of demons to save all of Sand Land from the water shortage. Thief, a wise old demon with thieving abilities also accompanies Beelzebub and Rao on their adventure.”

Sand Land was created by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and published as part of Weekly Shonen Jump from May 22, 2000, through August 28, 2000.

Not much information was provided outside of the trailer, but Bandai Namco charged that “The Sand Land project will introduce you to the world, characters, and vehicles from Sand Land through various collaborations and mediums.” Loadouts can be customized for exploration and battle.
