Bandai Namco Formally Announces Studio 2 / Studio S
Bandai Namco has formally announced Studio 2 / Studio S. This in-house studio has worked on several Nintendo projects, such as the last two Super Smash Bros. releases, ARMS and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

“Studio 2 / S Studio is a studio that specializes in contracted development projects within the company. We’ve developed many hits, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Tour, and many more. As a group of professionals who do not compromise on quality, we will continue to produce world-class titles in the future.”
As of December 2022, they have 152 staff members, of which:
- 78% are male and 22% are female
- 37% are planners, 22% are engineers, and 41% are artists
- 68% are veterans, and 32% are newbies
