Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Japan Release Announced for December 2023
Developer Larian Studios has announced that their RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 will see a physical and digital release for PlayStation 5 in Japan on December 21, 2023, via publisher Spike Chunsoft.
This is currently the only confirmed physical release of the title, with no mention of other regions having this opportunity. Pre-orders are confirmed to include a guide for tips regarding the game’s early hours.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a goliath of a hit for the developer, putting the Baldur’s Gate series under a far vaster lens than many fans ever thought possible. Between the entry’s impressive degree of player choice coupled with strong character writing, this is clearly a game for RPG fans by RPG fans, with tabletop facet implementation instilling memorable distinction.

An Xbox release was confirmed for later this year, though an exact date has not been provided. Interestingly, the Xbox Series X and Series S versions will not have parity, with the not set to have split-screen co-op. The Series S has been something of a conundrum for developers, so it’s nice to see it sorted out here.
