Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 Gets New Gameplay Trailer and 2022 Release Window

Inti Creates launched a new trailer for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, in development for Nintendo Switch with a 2022 release planned.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is supervised by Keiji Inafune, who has been working closely with director Yoshihisa Tsuda to put together this new entry of the 2D-action series. Players will be able to use new abilities and systems that bring the series to a new generation of gamers.

In the trailer, players can also see the newest playable character Kirin in action. Like Gunvolt and Copen, she has a particular way to approach enemies by tagging them and launching swift attacks. She can also deflect projectiles using her sword. Furthermore, Gonvolt will also be playable and brings his own twist on his classic playstyle.

The game’s tagline is “Fates are sealed as paradigms shift, and a new era unfolds. What lies beyond the path toward hope?” In the coming months, I’m sure we’ll learn more about the meaning behind these words.

For now, all we can really do is wait for new information, but from the gameplay alone, it looks like the developers have pulled the camera back on the action revealing more of the stage. It’s going to be interesting to learn more about their approach to this new chapter in the series.
