Atlus has shared exclusive information with publication IGN regarding the Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Catherine series potentially entering the realm of live-action and television adaptations. IGN explicitly stated Shin Megami Tensei and Catherine as possible avenues for live-action, though Persona was the primary focus here.
Sega’s lead producer on the recent Sonic the Hedgehog films and the upcoming Sonic Prime Netflix show, Toru Nakahara, shared the following statement specifically pertaining to Persona:
“Atlus’ worlds are filled with high drama, cutting-edge style and compelling characters. Stories like those from the Persona franchise really resonate with our fans and we see an opportunity to expand the lore like no one has seen — or played — before. Together, Sega and Atlus, are working to bring these stories and worlds to life through new mediums and for new audiences.”
Not much else was stated regarding this aside from there being no confirmed studios in the works quite yet. You can read the full article via IGN’s coverage.
