Atlus Reveals Updated Sales Figures for Persona Series; Exceeding Expectations

Atlus has officially released its financial statement for its 8th term under Sega, which concluded on March 2021. A variety of information is present in this document, most notably the updated sales figures for some of the developer’s key titles in certain regions.

The Persona series has currently sold over 15 million units globally, counting both digital and physical sales. This is quite an impressive number, seeing as Persona 5 Royal accounts for roughly 1.8 million of those sales.

The Steam release of Persona 4 Golden has seen some well-deserved success, with it selling around 900 thousand digital units worldwide. With the title having sold around 1.5 million units during its initial release on PlayStation Vita, it’s impressive to believe that the Steam version’s sales are quickly reaching that number considering the recency of the port. Then again, PC is a far more accessible platform, so it does make sense.

Hopefully, this leads to further opportunities for Persona titles to be released on PC, such as the highly yearned for Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3, in any of the forms Atlus chooses to re-release the latter in. These numbers clearly show the demand and market for these games succeeding on PC.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on future releases from Atlus.
